Bjørn Stensrud

Bjørn Stensrud was appointed head of NKROP on 1 January 2021.

Background and field of interest:

Stensrud has clinical experience and management experience from mental health care, especially from the disciplines of psychosis treatment and rehabilitation. He has been professionally responsible for interdisciplinary further education in the field of intoxicants and mental health.

Stensrud has previously worked with development projects in substance abuse psychiatry and environmental therapy in the field of psychosis / rehabilitation. He has researched compulsory and compulsory mental health care outside institutions (TUD).

Stensrud is a publicly approved nurse and psychiatric nurse. He has further education in management, professional guidance and violence risk assessment (HCR-20). Master's degree in mental health work from 2007 with the theme of active elements in the treatment of psychotic disorders.

Stensrud earned his doctorate in health sciences from the University of Tromsø in 2016.
